After a childhood of Care Bear Books and The Babysitters Club, Kim read The Things They Carried in high school. While she always wanted to be a writer, she had no idea that book would inspire her to write historical fiction. The War on All Fronts exists because of that experience. Her experience as a high school English teacher and GSA sponsor has also impacted her work. She lives in East Dundee with her husband, two kids, and a little white dog.
