Karen Su writes children’s picture books focusing on Asian American life stories. She has written four Asian American biographies for Carson Dellosa's Leaders Like Us series: Grace Lee Boggs, Philip Vera Cruz, Yuri Kochiyama, and Dalip Singh Saund. She was the winner of the SCBWI-IL Many Voices Prizes in 2022. She was a nonfiction mentee for We Need Diverse Books in 2018 and chosen to be a mentee with Maya Gonzalez (Reflection Press) in 2017. She teaches in the Global Asian Studies Program at the University of Illinois Chicago.
