Denise Holmes is an award-winning freelance illustrator. She has worked on over 20 children's picture books for clients such as Odd Dot, Priddy Books, Little Simon, Macmillan, and Sourcebooks. Denise loves creating bright and playful illustrations, especially for baby board books, which bring joy and wonder to little readers. In addition to drawing, Denise is a champion hula-hooper. She also enjoys crafting, taking walks, reading, making pancakes, and writing in her diary. Denise lives in the heart of Chicago, IL, with her family. During her visits, Denise talks about what it's like to be an illustrator for picture books, the behind-the-scenes process, and what an illustrator's job entails.
